Bury FC's fixture with Gillingham on Saturday August 17 has been suspended.

The EFL Board says it has not received the outstanding evidence they requested by today's 9am deadline.

Further clarification is required on plans to meet the Club's commitments to football creditors, payment to unsecured creditors as part of the Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA), alongside source and sufficiency of funding for season 2019/20.

This is the Club's fourth fixture to not go ahead as originally planned this season.

A decision on whether Bury's upcoming fixture with Rotherham United on Tuesday August 20 will take place is scheduled for Thursday August 15.

In a statement, the EFL say they have made it clear that it 'cannot continue to suspend fixtures indefinitely' and a deadline for the Club's withdrawal of membership remains in place for August 23 if no conclusion is found.
