Police hunt 'sex offender' who climbed through care home resident's window

Police are investigating a sexual offence against a care home resident in Lytham St Annes.

It's believed an unknown man forced his way through a ground flood window at the New Thursby Nursing Home.

He was found with the victim by a member of staff and escaped through the same window.

Police say they are working "round the clock" to find the man responsible.

The victim is being supported by specialist officers and their family have been made aware.

Police have increased patrols in the area.

Anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage around 5am on Sunday 4 August is asked to contact Lancashire Police.
