Young boy seriously injured in crash between car and scooter

A ten year old child has been seriously injured after being hit by a car in the Moston area of Manchester.

Police say they were called to Moston Lane on 25 July to reports that a boy riding a push scooter had been in collision with a black BMW.

The driver remained at the scene and no arrests were made.

It is believed that a light coloured Fiat Punto, driving in the opposite direction, had its wing mirror knocked off during the collision.

Police believe there was also a blue Audi A1 behind the Fiat Punto that would have witnessed the incident.

Officers are appealing for those with information and dashcam footage of the collision to come forward to Greater Manchester Police.
