Manhunt after woman was sexually assaulted in Bredbury

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was sexually assaulted in Bredbury.

She was walking down the pedestrianised Field Street at around 1am on Sunday 21 July when she was approached by a man who grabbed her before sexually assaulting her.

The victim fled the scene and called the police.

  • white

  • tall

  • very slim

  • aged approximately 20

  • wearing light jogging bottoms

  • spoke with a local accent

Appealing for witnesses or information, Detective Constable Matt Croy, of GMP’s Stockport Distric said "No detail is too small so if you think you know something then please do not hesitate to contact us."
