Pensioner mugged twice in two weeks from exactly the same spot
A 76-year-old woman had her handbag stolen twice from exactly the same spot in Stockport.
Police say she was walking along Bramhall Moor Lane in Hazel Grove on 10 June when a man approached her and threatened to stab her if she didn’t hand over her handbag.
The victims credit card then used at the Nat West Bank around 20 minutes later.
Two weeks later, on Sunday 23 June, the woman fell victim to another robbery in exactly the same location - she was pulled to the ground as her bag was snatched from her shoulder.
The first mugger was described as a white, slightly built man in his 20s, with a scruffy ginger beard and was wearing a grey hooded top.
The second was described as in his 20s and wearing a grey and black hooded top.
Police have made an arrest but are still appealing for information on both incidents.
