New centre for soldiers with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

The Duke of Westminster along with Army veteran Andy Reid, have opened a brand new facility for soldiers struggling to overcome addiction such as gambling and alcohol, or battling to overcome the effects of PTSD.

The 23-bed facility in North Manchester called Leon House, will be a refuge for ex soldiers, providing in-patient care to support them as they get recover. The brand new facilities have been entirely funded by companies in Manchester.

Corporal Reid, who's from St Helens, lost both legs and his right arm while serving with the 3rd Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment in Afghanistan in 2009. He has since dedicated his life to inspiring others and raising awareness to help veterans returning to civilian life.
