A North West maths hub is changing its name to honour the wartime maths genius Alan Turing
Manchester's famous wartime codebreaker Alan Turing has been honoured with the naming of a pioneering maths centre.
The newly named Turing North West Maths Hub was launched at the Ashton-on-Mersey School in Sale.
The new name pays tribute to the renowned mathematician who was an academic in the University of Manchester after World War 2.
