Hunt for burglars who fled crime scene carrying huge 19th century grandfather clock

Police are trying to find a 19th century clock which was stolen during a burglary near Sandbach.

The antique, which is of "great sentimental value" to its owners, was taken on the evening of Wednesday 5 June.

The offenders fled carrying the clock after they set off the house's security alarm.

Police have spoken to antiques dealers across Cheshire and are urging anyone with information about the clock to come forward and help them catch those responsible.
