Surge in drug use reported as rehab services see their funding slashed

New figures show addiction to hard drugs is rising as funding falls for treatment and rehabilitation in the North West.

Almost 50,000 people are now using substances like crack cocaine, while a rehab group has warned spending on helping addicts has been cut by close to £20m.
