Police rescue stolen puppy after two hour rooftop stand-off
A stolen puppy has been rescued by police after thieves snatched her from her home and climbed onto the roof of a cafe.
Poppy the Shih-Tzu was taken during a burglary in Chadderton, Greater Manchester on Wednesday 5 June.
Officers chased the culprits into Oldham town centre, where they climbed onto the roof of a coffee shop and stayed for more than two hours.
Both men came down after police negotiation - and were arrested by waiting officers.
Poppy, who is just ten weeks old, has now been returned to her owners.
