'The fatal five': warning over shocking number of deaths on Cheshire's roads

Chief Officers from the three top emergency services have been spoken out about rising numbers of people being killed on the roads in Cheshire.

Emergency crews say these five causes, dubbed "the fatal five", are the biggest killer on the roads:

  • motorists driving carelessly

  • driving too fast

  • driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol

  • not wearing a seatbelt

  • driving while using a mobile phone
