Graduate opportunities in the Isle of Man may be improving after planned events and changing approaches from the Department for Enterprise.

A financial incentive was put in place after the Treasury Minister announced the annual budget earlier in the year.

Returning students can now claim up to £4,000 of their national insurance back as part of a new National Insurance Holiday Scheme.

The island also hosted its first Graduate Fair on 17th April aimed specifically at students returning to the island.

Organised by Locate Isle of Man, the event gave over 30 employers the opportunity to talk to students and advertise their graduate schemes.

There were also a variety of guest speakers who had all graduated and relocated to the island sharing their success stories.

Jamie Lewis graduated in the UK back in 2011, before making the permanent move over to the Isle of Man.

He is now the Co-founder and Director of a creative agency on the island called Peggy and Lewis:

The £4,000 is also available for anyone returning to the island to claim for the first year.
