Man arrested on suspicion of murder after stabbing in Manchester

A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man in his twenties was stabbed to death in Beswick in Manchester.

The victim was repeatedly knifed in the leg before the suspected attacker fled in a car, Greater Manchester Police said.

The "senseless act of violence" happened in Hinckley Street, Beswick, east Manchester, at around 2am on Sunday, the force said.

The victim was rushed to hospital where he later died.
