'My dogs saved my life': Fell runner rescued after breaking leg on remote moorland

A fell runner who suffered serious leg injuries on remote moorland says she owes her life to her two dogs.

Pita Oates was with her two Border Collies near Chorley when she fell - seriously injuring her knee and breaking her femur.

She tried to shuffle to find help, but as night fell she'd only moved three-quarters of a mile and feared for her life.

Luckily, Buddy and Merlyn came to her rescue.

Her 8-month-old pup never left her side, while 18 month old Merlyn went to find help.
