Hunt for 'very tall man with lots of sandy-coloured hair' after woman raped in Rochdale

A man hunt is underway after a woman was raped in Rochdale.

Police say she was walked through a wooded area near the back of the Town Hall when she was forced to the ground and raped.

They want to speak to a man who matches the following description:

  • white

  • very tall

  • in his mid-20s

  • slim build

  • slim, pale face　

  • a large amount of sandy-coloured hair

  • spoke with a local accent

  • was wearing a blue and white chequered shirt with blue jeans　

Anyone who was in the area around 5am on Sunday 31 March and who may have information is asked to contact police.

CCTV and other enquiries are continuing.
