Man attacked with crowbar as he tried to keep gang out of house where children were sleeping

A man has been attacked with a crowbar as he tried to stop men getting into his family home.

Police say the victim was approached by four men as he was walking to his front door near Green Walk in Bowden.

The four men attacked when their victim told them he wasn't wearing a watch and refused to let them into his house - where his children were sleeping.

The man was hit with the crowbar and punched and icked as he lay on the floor.

Description of offenders

  • white

  • about 5ft 11

  • tall and of slim build

  • wearing dark clothing and balaclava’s

  • seen to be carrying a crow bar and a hammer

  • one claimed that he had a knife
