90,000 people have backed a change in the law to make sure cat owners are informed if their pet is killed or injured on the UK's roads.

It's after a campaign by a woman from Bury, who spent weeks searching for her pet cat Gizmo.

The cat had been injured in a traffic accident and had been put to sleep without Helena's knowledge.

Gizmo was microchipped, but unlike dogs, there is no legal obligation to scan found animals.
