Primary school pupils pledge to ditch their phones before bed
Pupils at a Cheshire school have pledged to ditch their phones and tablets before bed.
The youngsters were responding to research which they say has shown that using the technology at the end of the day can cause poor-quality sleep.
Year 6 children at Weaverham Primary Academy near Northwich have decided to shut down their screens to improve their mental health.
Pupils at the school debated the issue and decided to shut down their screens earlier in the day.
The academy says the debate was part of its drive to empower pupils to achieve their best.
