Jeremy Corbyn has called on two North West MPs to resign and put themselves up for election.

Liverpool's Luciana Berger and Stockport's Ann Coffey both quit the party earlier this week to join the Independence Group.

They cited Mr Corbyn's leadership, his stance on Brexit and his handling of allegations of anti-Semitism as the primary reasons for the move.
