Murder investigation launched after woman's body found in car

A murder investigation's been launched after the body of a woman in her forties was found in a car in Salford.

Police say they were called to an address on Bolbury Crescent in Swinton late last night after being alerted by ambulance crews.

A scene remains in place at the property while forensic investigations are carried out.

A 44-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody for questioning.
