'A true superhero': Parents' tribute to teenage son who died in M58 crash

The parents of a 14 year old old boy who died after a crash on the M58 motorway in Lancashire have paid tribute to him as "a true fighter with a heart of gold".

Police have named him as Joe Cairns from Radcliffe, Greater Manchester.

Joe, along with Anne Kerr, 50, from Southport was in a minibus travelling to Pontville School in Ormskirk when the incident happened. Joe was a pupil there and Anne was a member of staff.

Police have appealed for witnesses and anyone who may have relevant dash cam footage.

The Lancashire force say it has specially trained officers supporting the families.
