Two men charged with murder following death of man in Saddleworth

Two men have been charged with murder following the death of a man in Uppermill.

Daniel Forster, 24, of Ashfield Crescent, Springhead and Michael Milligan Nield, 24, of Society Street, Shaw have both been charged with the murder of 34-year-old Daniel Hogan.

They have been remanded to appear before Manchester Magistrates Court tomorrow, Monday 24 December 2018.

The charges are in relation to an incident which took place on High Street on Friday 21 December 2018.

Police were called shortly after 11:30pm on Friday 21 December 2018 to reports that a man had collapsed with head injuries.

Emergency services attended and administered first aid to the man before he was rushed to hospital, where he sadly died a short time later.

He has since been formally identified as Daniel Hogan. Daniel was originally from Rochdale but had recently been living in Saddleworth.
