Six newborn puppies stolen in an armed robbery have died.
A litter of eight one-day-old French bulldogs were taken by two men who forced their way into a family home in Stretford, Greater Manchester.
The men threatened their owner, Leeanne Corbett, who's six months pregnant, holding a knife to her stomach. She was at home with her three young sons.
Two men took an incubator containing eight one-day old French Bulldogs.Greater Manchester Police launched an investigation and released CCTV footage.
Leeanne, feared the puppies would die without their mother Reign and asked for their safe return.
On Friday morning she received an anonymous phone call to say the puppies had been handed into a vets.
Six of the litter died but two of the surviving puppies have since been returned to their mother.
The two male pups were treated at the vets for an hour and have been receiving antibiotics.
Leeanne is now working to keep the remaining two pups alive.
She said: "I am just glad for Reign. At least she has got two of them back.
"She has got her body curled up around them.
Leeanne said her eldest son, who has autism and Aspergers, is struggling to come to terms with what has happened.
"The pups have had antibiotics and plasma to try and wake them up.
"One of them is crying. We are trying to heat them up with hot water bottles and saline.
"I want to thank everybody for sharing [the appeal] and for the support from everybody. We now want to try and keep these two alive."
