27-year-old shot dead in Liverpool 'had a heart of gold'
An emotional tribute has been paid to a man who was shot dead in Liverpool at the weekend.
Carl Russell, 27, was gunned down in Belle Vale, as he and his partner got out of a car on Sunday morning.
The gunman was believed to have been dressed in black with a high-vis orange jacket, and made off on the pedal bike in the direction of Madeira Drive.
Detectives investigating the murder have bailed two men arrested in connection with the offence.
A 33-year-old man from Belle Vale and a 29-year-old man from Belle Vale have been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
A Home Office Post Mortem has confirmed that Carl died of multiple gunshot wounds.
Officers say an extensive and thorough investigation is being carried out by the force’s Major Crime Unit. They want to hear from anyone with information.
