Man arrested on suspicion of murder after woman found dead in Chadderton

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was found dead at a house in Oldham.

The ambulance service were called to a property on Acorn Close, in Chadderton, after reports a woman had fallen on Wednesday night.

A woman, believed to be in her 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 54-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody for questioning.

Forensic investigations are underway, with police on guard outside the property.
