Police hunt for missing sex offender convicted for making indecent images of children

Police are asking for the public's help to trace a missing sex offender.

Norman Ormerod was convicted of making indecent images of children in 2011 and 2015.

The 45 year old is wanted on recall to prison after failing to attend probation appointments.

He was last seen in Preston on 9 August.

Ormerod has links to Lancashire and Cumbria and may have travelled to the North Yorkshire or Humberside areas.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to contact police.
