Stunning tribute to the fallen of World War One arrives at Imperial War Museum North
Video report by ITV News Reporter Ben Chapman
Part of the poppy sculpture featuring nearly 900,000 ceramic flowers that was displayed at the Tower of London has gone on display in Salford.
The Wave sculpture outside the Imperial War Museum North is the final stop of a national tour of the artwork.
Wave is one of two sculptures taken from the installation Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red.
Each flower represents the life of a British or Commonwealth soldier lost on the front lines of the front during the bloody conflict.
The thousands of poppies which comprise The Wave have been donated to the Imperial War Museum.
It's hoped the poppies will find a permanent exhibition space once the display is taken down on November 25.
