Major new exhibition celebrates the life and work of comedian Victoria Wood
Victoria Wood is to be honoured with a major new exhibition in her home town of Bury.The Art Museum & Sculpture Centre will display some of the late comedian's treasures, including original scripts, song sheets, photos and costumes as well as her props.
It's hoped the exhibition will remember and celebrate her life, during which she wrote and starred in dozens of plays, musicals, sketches, sitcoms and films.The comedian died in 2016.
To try and capture her extensive career, the exhibition will be screening a video montage of her work.
This will include behind the scenes footage from one of her Christmas specials, plus a live recording of a Dinnerladies rehearsal.
