Firefighters are at the scene of a large mill fire in central Manchester.

It broke out at a building containing household furnishings in South Hall Street, close to HMP Manchester.

Ten fire engines are at the scene:

The fire measures 100m x 100m and is currently on the fourth floor of the four storey building - which contains household furnishings.

Part of the building has collapsed, which is preventing crews accessing parts of the blaze.

People are being asked to avoid the area.
