Protests over 'brilliant' headteacher's suspension
The school made famous by hit TV show Educating Greater Manchester closed today as parents protested against the suspension of its headteacher takes place outside the gates.
Parents and pupils made a stand outside Harrop Fold School in Little Hulton in Salford on this morning.
Katelynn appeared in the show and her mum says she doesn't know how Katelynn will cope with the change.
It follows the suspension of Drew Povey and three other bosses last week.
A statement on the Harrop Fold website, published on Wednesday evening, said:
Pupils were due to hold a ‘silent’ protest on the school field before lessons followed by a demonstration by parents calling for Mr Povey to be reinstated.
Mr Povey has vowed to clear his name after he and three other members of staff were sent home last Thursday.
Producers of the programme said the show will not be cancelled.
