Miguel Reynolds: fresh appeal over murder investigation four weeks after rapper was shot dead

Officers believe an earlier shooting, also with a handgun, in Marie Curie Avenue is linked to the murder investigation.

Police investigating the suspected murder of a rapper from Merseyside have released a fresh appeal for information four weeks on from his death.

21 year old Miguel Reynolds was shot with a handgun in Assissian Crescent, Netherton on Thursday, 7 June.

He was pronounced dead in hospital.

Officers believe an earlier shooting, also with a handgun, in Marie Curie Avenue is linked to the murder investigation.

Nine people have been arrested in connection with Mr Reynolds' death, but police say they are continuing to appeal to anyone who may have information "which could prove vital to the investigation".

Detective Chief Inspector Ian Warlow “We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed males, some on foot and some riding mountain bikes, in the area of Harrops Croft estate and the canal path shortly after 8pm on the 7 June.

"We are also keen to speak to anyone who saw a small fire and males in the area of the sports field adjacent to Harrops Croft estate shortly after 8pm, and three people in the area of Henry Hickman Close, Peterborough Drive and Magdalen Square on the same night when the first non-injury shooting happened on Marie Curie Avenue."

“We believe they may have seen some or all of the people involved and would be keen to trace them."
