Paddy McGuinness has revealed he is suffering from arthritis at the age of 44 - and needs steroids to treat it.

The Take Me Out presenter from Greater Manchester shared the diagnosis on instagram - with a photo of himself bearing a large plaster on his shoulder, after having an injection to loosen the joint.

Arthritis Research UK said they are grateful to Paddy McGuinness for raising awareness about the condition in younger people.

"Thanks to people like Paddy McGuinness sharing their stories, we can debunk the common myth that arthritis only affects people as they get older. If anyone is looking for support, we’re here."
