A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after an aspiring rapper was shot dead in Merseyside just days after releasing his latest music video.
Miguel Reynolds, 21, died after he was shot in Netherton, on Thursday night. The musician, from Manchester, performed under the alias Lilgwopboy and was known to his friends as 'Migz'.
Police investigating his death last night confirmed they had arrested a man on suspicion of murder.
A music video for the track On Me (Southside 90sbabys) was uploaded to YouTube on May 30. Performed by Lilgwopboy and featuring another artist called Nomanners, the video shows the artists rapping in front of a housing estate. The video was released on May 30, just eight days before Thursday night's tragedy.
Merseyside Police retained a heavy presence in the area around Assissian Crescent yesterday as investigations continued into Mr Reynolds' death.
