Local Elections 2018: Merseyside results

  • Liverpool City Council: LABOUR HOLD

Labour lost three seats to the Liberal Democrats, but still have 76 seats on Liverpool council and overall control.

  • Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council: LABOUR HOLD

Labour have 39 seats, the Conservatives have 21

  • Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council: LABOUR HOLD

A third of the seats in Sefton were up for election this year. Labour gained three seats, and now have 43 councillors.

The Conservatives gained two - with small losses for the Liberal Democrats and Independent.

  • St Helens: LABOUR HOLD

They lost one seat, but retain overall control.
