Local Elections 2018: Lancashire results
Preston City Council: LABOUR HOLD
A third of the seats in Preston were up for election this year. Labour gained two councillors, taking the total to 35. Both were taken from the Conservatives.
The Liberal Democrats retain their two seats from 2014.
West Lancashire Borough Council: LABOUR HOLD
Labour gained two councillors, and the Liberal Democrats 1. Both taken from the Conservatives, while there was no change for the solo Independent seat.
Chorley Borough Council: LABOUR HOLD
It's a largely unchanged political landscape in Chorley. Labour gained one seat from the Conservatives. They now have 32 councillors in total.
