Public urged to check where their waste is going after illegal waste site is shut down

The Environment Agency is urging the public and communities to check where their waste is going.

It follows an early morning raid on Tuesday which saw an illegal waste site shut down, six vehicles seized and two people arrested.

The joint operation with Merseyside Police saw what was formally MWM recycling Ltd, Redfern Street, Bootle closed after operating without an Environmental Permit and a waste carriers licence.
