A man has been jailed for a "sadistic" murder after pouring bleach down another man’s throat and beating him to death.

The body of Jiri Ulman was found with head and chest injuries in Manchester in August 2017.

The court heard how Miroslav Kolman, supposedly a friend of Jiri, subjected him to a brutal beating and poured bleach down his throat before dumping his body in woodland.

Jiri was a vulnerable member of the community who was described by many as "a nice and gentle man".

The only possible motive police have found is that Kolman believed Jiri had stolen some of his CDs several years ago.

Miroslav Kolman was found guilty of murder and will serve a minimum of 35 years.
