Pet dog stolen in 'staggeringly' violent robbery
Police are appealing for information after a family’s much loved pet was stolen during a violent robbery.
Police say it happened in Chadderton, in Greater Manchester, at around 6am on Saturday 6 January.
Two men smashed a rear patio door of a home and went upstairs where the owners were both asleep.
One woke up when the offender put a knife to his throat and demanded money.
The offenders ransacked the home for things to steal and assaulted both men, leaving one with a serious injury that required hospital treatment.
The offenders also stole the family’s French Bulldog.
