Tributes for the motorcycle rider who died in Partington on Christmas Day

The family of a man who died in a collision in Partington has paid tribute to him.

Shortly before 1.45pm on Christmas Day, a white Yamaha FZ6 motorcycle was being ridden in a south-easterly direction along Moss Lane.

At the same time a blue Peugeot 206 was travelling along Hardwick Road.

As the Peugeot reached the junction, it was involved in a collision with the motorcycle. The rider, a 21-year-old man, was taken to hospital where he sadly died some time later.

The driver of the Peugeot stayed at the scene and no arrests have been made.

The rider of the motorcycle has since been formally identified as Cole Porter.
