Tribute to mum who died in Miles Platting collision

The family of a woman who died in a collision in Miles Platting have paid tribute to her.

Shortly before 9pm on Monday 25th December 2017, a pedestrian was crossing Oldham Road at the pelican crossing, close to the junction of Naylor Street.

The pedestrian was involved in a collision with a car, which failed to stop at the scene and continued along Oldham Road.

The woman was taken to hospital where she sadly died a short time later.

She has since been formally identified as 44-year-old Sharon Hamnett.
