Police are appealing for information following a fatal road collision in Padiham.

Officers were called at around 9:40pm on September 29 following reports of the accident on Slade Lane, close to the junction with Adamson Street.

A Seat Leon car travelling from the direction of Church Street had left the carriageway, colliding with a tree.

The driver of the vehicle, Corey Hudson, 24, suffered a significant head injury and later died on September 30.

A 27-year-old man suffered neck, head and shoulder injuries while a second passenger, aged 30, suffered injuries to his pelvis and ribs.

The men were all treated at Royal Preston Hospital.

Despite an initial appeal for information last month, Police still want to trace witnesses to the collision.

Temp Sgt Lee Harris, of Lancashire Police's Roads Policing Unit, said:

  • Anyone with information can contact police on 101 quoting log reference 1470 of September 29.
