Police have relaunched an appeal for information about a Barrow man who went missing five years ago.

Anthony Bond, commonly known as Tony, was reported missing on November 11th 2012 by his former partner, and mother of his son.

He was last seen late on the evening of Friday November 9th in the area of Schneider Road, close to ‘The Tally Ho’ pub.

Tony had been visiting a friend who lived in the area and it was thought he was making his way back to his then home address on Barrow Island.

The investigation into Tony’s whereabouts generated more than 300 lines of enquiry.

Despite the wide media coverage and several reported sightings, there has been no news that has allowed his family any closure or insight into his whereabouts.

Tony, who would now be 45, was last seen wearing a pair of blue jeans, a black t-shirt, and a red coloured Berghaus-type jacket. He is 5ft 10in, of medium build, balding, and often had facial stubble.
