Manchester Children's Hospital teams up with clothing collector in a bit to raise more money
The Manchester Children's Hospital Charity (RMCH) has teamed up with Clothes Aid, the UK's leading charity clothing collector, in a bid to raise more money.
The partnership is expected to raise an extra £50,000 a year for the children's hospital through the use of bespoke RMCH Clothes Aid charity collection bags.
Clothes Aid will distribute over 100,000 bags each week to homes across 10 licenced areas in the north-west. Residents simply need to clear out their cupboards of clothes and leave them in a visible spot on the collection day stated on the bag.
Local schools and companies are also encouraged to support the new partnership.
Sarah Cross, mother Erin, a young patient at the children's hospital said:
Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital is the largest single site children’s hospital in the UK and treats over 260,000 patients each year and offers specialist services including bone marrow transplantation and paediatric intensive care.
Michael Lometey of Clothes Aid said
The inner and outer bag design for Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital closely follows the new ASA CAP guidance and will be distributed solely by Clothes Aid uniformed and identified employees.
