Dashcam footage captures drunken pensioner's trail of destruction

A pensioner from Merseyside has been convicted of drink-driving with the help of footage from her own dashcam.

Carol Rose was nearly twice the drink drive limit when she smashed into numerous cars in her Toyota Aygo in Ainsdale in April.

The journey was caught on the 70-year-old's dashboard camera. Children and a nearby school's lollipop man can be seen in the footage, as Ms Rose smashed into cars by the side of the road, before hitting a van.

The pensioner was given an eight month jail sentence suspended for two years and was banned from driving for three years.
