CGI images show a new vision for Manchester's Piccadilly Gardens
The first images of a £2million revamp of Manchester's Piccadilly Gardens has been released.
The proposals by management company LGIM Real Assets aim to make it more attractive and welcoming for families, city workers and visitors.
The plans involve removing the existing Pavilion building and wall and replacing them with two new Pavilion buildings linked by a covered area of new public space.
LGIM says Greater Manchester Police have been consulted on the design.
There will also be extra seating throughout the gardens and so called ‘soft landscaping’ including new shrubs and plants.
The full planning application can be viewed on Manchester City Council’s planning portal at http://www.manchester.gov.uk/planning/publicaccess by inserting the Planning Application Reference Number – 116923/FO/2017.
