Alex Neil announced as new manager for Preston North End

Preston North End have announced the appointment of Alex Neil as their new manager.

The 36-year-old Scot will be officially unveiled on Wednesday afternoon and will take up his new role on Thursday.

It is said that Neil will take a watching brief at Friday's friendly against Bamber Bridge, before taking charge of training once the team head on their training camp in Ireland.
