Five men will appear in court this morning charged with drug offences after Merseyside Police carried out a number of raids across Liverpool yesterday.

Stephen Wilson, 43, Scott McCabe, 48, Brian Barnes, 45, Luke McDonald, 33, and Keiron Williams, 22, have all be charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs

They will appear before magistrates today.

Four men and two women who were also arrested in yesterday's raids have been released under investigation.

A number of weapons, drugs and high-value items were seized as police raided properties in Everton, Kirkdale, Walton, Fazakerley, Aigburth and Dovecot in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Two kilos of suspected Class A drugs and equipment, an air rifle, crossbow, scrambler bike, quad bike, high-value cars, high-value mountain bikes, and high-value watches were seized from the addresses.

Police say the arrests are the result of an 11-month operation targeting the supply of controlled drugs in the Langsdale estate area of Everton.
