Police appeal for information after attempted armed robbery
Merseyside Police detectives are appealing for information after an attempted armed robbery at a restaurant in West Kirby in the early hours of Friday 9th June.
At around 1.05am, a report was received of four men entering Le Jardin on Grange Road, armed with weapons including machetes and what was described as a handgun, believed to have been a replica. The owner challenged the men and was struck causing a cut to his arm. The men made off empty handed.
Witness and CCTV enquiries are ongoing and detectives wish to speak to anyone who saw men acting suspiciously around Grange Road in the early hours of the morning, or making off towards the direction of Hoylake just after 1am.
