Fans from across Europe have been flocking to Emirates Old Trafford - up to 48 hours ahead of Ariana Grande’s One Love Manchester show.

People from Germany and Portugal - who had not even managed to get tickets for the event - set up camp outside the venue where some of the planet’s biggest popstars are set to perform on Sunday.

Manchester students Carlo and Maria were the first to arrive, pitching their tent outside the ground at around 5pm on Friday.

They were joined 20 minutes later by Marco Santos, who travelled all the way from Lisbon, Portugal, even though he had been unable to get a ticket for the sell-out event.

Marco arrived outside Emirates Old Trafford on Friday afternoon, intending to buy a pillow and blanket and sleep on the street outside, before he was offered shelter by Maria and Carlo.

The line up will feature Ariana Grande, as well as Coldplay, Miley Ray Cyrus, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Pharrell Williams, Usher, Black Eyed Peas, Take That and Niall Horan from One Direction.
