Huge security presence at Manchester gig
A huge security operation is underway to ensure music fans' safety at Lancashire Cricket Club's Old Trafford ground this evening.
Armed police are manning the gates and officers in high visibility jackets are stationed every 50 yards on roads approaching the venue.
Airport-style security devices are being used to screen those going into the venue and mounted police are also in attendance.
Doors opened at 4:30pm, with the main acts The Charlatans and The Courteeners performing later on.
It is the first big music concert since Monday night's terror attack at the Manchester Arena when a suicide bomb went off at the end of an Ariana Grande performance.
